In July, the Shakey’s Super League will host the National Invitationals, riding the wave of success from the previous month’s Collegiate Pre-Season Championship.
Athletic Events and Sports Management Inc. (ACES) chairman Philip Ella Juico remarked, “Our next event is genuinely a national championship.” ACES is responsible for organizing the SSL.
Yesterday at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Juico revealed that 12 teams from all around the nation would compete in the upcoming SSL event.
“These include UAAP and NCAA teams from Luzon, as well as teams from Visayas and Mindanao. In addition, the previous head of the Philippine Sports Commission said that the competition would only last a week.
Two days after their undefeated run in the Collegiate Pre-Season Championship, important players from National University (Alyssa Solomon and Michaela Belen) and their coach Karl Dimaculangan attended a forum hosted by the Association for Competitive Equestrian Sports (ACES).

Laurel emphasized that the SSL would remain committed to its mission of discovering and nurturing up-and-coming talents and providing players from outside of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao who put in just as much effort an opportunity to shine.
Laurel made these remarks in a forum hosted by San Miguel Corporation (SMC), MILO, the Philippine Sports Commission, the Philippine Olympic Committee, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation. “We want to give the teams from the Visayas and Mindanao the chance to face the players whom they idolize and provide them with a high level of competition,” he said.

According to Laurel, two teams from Luzon, two teams from Visayas, and two teams from Mindanao will compete in the National Invitationals with the top three teams from the UAAP and the NCAA.
Laurel stated, “We want to exhibit the finest”

After sweeping La Salle in both the UAAP regular season and the Pre-Season Championship (8-0), the Lady Bulldogs are the hottest college women’s volleyball team.
The next UAAP battles are scheduled for February, and the SSL National Invitational Championship is scheduled for July, so they are already looking forward to those events.
The competition’s MVP, Solomon, remarked, “Very thrilled ako sa plan.” The tournament had 18 teams and Solomon was named MVP.
Good possibility since they’ll be rooting for us and we’ll be rooting for them (teams from Visayas and Mindanao). Belen, who won the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player trophies in the previous UAAP season, remarked, “Mabibigyan din sila ng opportunity ipakita yung potential nila.”
When asked about rumors that the Lady Bulldogs are on their approach to establishing a dynasty in college volleyball, the coach at NU was enthusiastic about the opportunity.
Every match is a difficult test of skill. This is the best we can do for now, and that’s all we’re going to do. When we think of a dynasty, we don’t think of anything at all. All of our efforts are now directed on NASA preparations. We’re still on the team whether we win or lose,” Dimaculangan remarked.
